Teal has been doing this longer, with more templates and resume analytics we do not match. If you want to rework resume bullets in detail, that is their strongest ground.
Unlimited tracking on their free plan
Teal's free plan does not cap how many jobs you track. Compare that with our current plans on the pricing page, which is where ours are kept up to date.

Your inbox moves the board
Connect a mailbox and Career Rift reads the replies — rejections, interview invites, offers — works out what each one means, and moves the application for you. Clear cases apply on their own; anything uncertain becomes a suggestion you accept or dismiss. The other trackers in this category, including the one on this page, expect you to notice the email and drag the card yourself.
The cover letter shows its work
Each paragraph comes with a note on why it is there and which part of your profile backs it, shown beside the text as you read. That guards against the failure that matters — not a bad letter, but a convincing one that claims something you never did. Tone, length and your own notes steer it.
Company research that cites sources
Employer research comes from a live web search, not from what the model remembers, and it returns nothing rather than an answer with no source — because a confident guess dressed up as a report is worse than no report.
Drive it from your AI assistant
Career Rift ships an MCP server, so you can ask an AI assistant what you applied to this week, add a job, or generate interview prep without opening the app. MCP is an open standard with a growing list of clients — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others — so it is not tied to one vendor. We have not found another job tracker that publishes one.

Can I move my applications over from Teal?
Email our team and we will help you move them across. A direct import is not built yet, and we would rather do it with you than leave you to re-enter everything by hand. Meanwhile the extension adds a job in a couple of clicks, and you can export to CSV from Career Rift at any time.
